SMOK TFV8 SUB OHM Tank review

When I first tested the SMOK TFV4 Tank I was really, really impressed with the amount of vapor and the flavor and every time I got to review slightly different versions of the same tank (like the Micro in the Guardian Pipe III kit, the Mini, and even the Nano from the Smok Stick One) I was always more than happy with the results. This is exciting. We had to do a Smok TFV8 SUB OHM Tank review because this is something we have been waiting for. It is now here and Smok is calling it the Cloud Beast.

SMOK are back with another sub ohm fog machine in the form of the SMOK TFV8, a new high wattage sub ohm capable tank that follows on from their hugely successful SMOK TFV4 series. The SMOK TFV8 aims to take cloud chasing to a new level, with the SMOK Turbo Engines coil structures capable of handling well over 200W of power

First of all, they’ve done away with the top airflow on the drip tip, which I’m sure most vapers will be happy to hear, as it wasn’t really wasn’t the most beloved feature of the TFV4. Instead, they went with a large diameter chuff-style wide boar drip tip made of delrin. It’s not really my favorite type of drip tip, but I will admit that it was probably the best choice for such a powerful tank. But if you can’t stand it, you can use a standard 510 tip thanks to the included delrin adapter.

The tank was designed with cloud chasers in mind, of course — basically the TFV8 is for vapers who want the maximum possible vapor production; thus the tank’s SMOK nickname: Cloud Beast. Surprisingly, though, the SMOK TFV8 is quite versatile. Sure, it’s built to handle insanely high wattage, but the power range is actually very wide, and the tank vapes well at “lower” wattages, too. No, I wouldn’t recommend it for 50-60 watt vaping, but if 80-90 watts floats your boat, then the TFV8 is actually worth considering.
